Public remarkAnil, you'll get your joining date soon enough. I think they've said they'll imbibe all 2008 recruits by June. So should not be a long time now. At least you guys are much better than your Wipro Counterparts. By the way, you can use this time to get certified and improve your skills on various languages. This will help you after training and if you are good then chances are that you won't spend a lot of time of bench. However by good i don't mean academically brillliant or stuff. You need to be a good performer during training. Also networking would help you a lot because though you'll have a job, getting a project is what gets y ou into the rat race.

I'm not scaring you but this is what the situation is like. All the best :)

Public remarkLOOKS like everything is not OK , but this situation will change after July .Cognizant for that matter ia not isolated it is problem as other IT companies are. But the freshers who got offers like you will have to wait longer may be till sept-oct. Only silver lining is they will take people anyways.It is a little delay.
probably they will honour the offers but not now.

Public remarkI would like say that if ur really interested in core field then go for higher studies even don't think about ur job which u have acquired in campus. Actually campus selection is good thing but also try to think to do something more than this, i mean try for GRE or GATE and thing for higher studies.

Are you selected for TCS in the campus?
I believe YES.

Certailnly TCS is India's number 1 software company. But that's the side of comapny's growth. If you think in the perspective of personal growth, every comany of late in INDIA shares the same position.
So the only suggestion from my side is if you r really intersted in PG, then do it. Don't even think about joining it industry. Coz, I tell you it is hell. Yes, I mean it. The same thing has been told by my seniors to me, but at that time, frankly speaking we( TCSers) were thinking that we had achieved something by grabbing job in campus... our feet were in air.
But at this time even i think of my PG. and it is really painful, as I accustomed with it life. So, i guess you got my point. If any question still lingers in your mind, I ll be glad to look into it..
